Born and raised as a Cantonese-Chinese in Malaysia shaped Cheong's love for multicultural food and her fluency in three languages. At the age of 17, Cheong moved to New York to pursue a career in art.

After freelancing and assisting photographers, Cheong decided to focus on graphic design. Cheong has been
a freelancer and held full time positions in multiple industries throughout the years.
